There are over 100 restaurants within a 30 minute drive of our villa. The variety is enormous. At the top end there are 2 Michelin starred restaurants. At the lower end there are simple 'chicken and chips' or pizza restaurants. In terms of pricing the most expensive are on a par with London, but particularly at Portuguese owned restaurants inland you can eat well for under 10 pounds a head including wine.
As a general rule we prefer to eat further inland rather than close to the coast. Such restaurants usually offer better value for money and are more popular with local residents. For information on local restaurants click here.
