Within 1km there is a large shopping complex containing a supermarket, clothes shops, restaurants, cafes, gift shops and a pub. Further afield the Apolonia supermarket in Almancil is very good and popular with the ex-patriot community. There are daily food markets in both Loule and Faro , where the fresh fish early in the morning is excellent. They also provide local fruit and vegetables to many of the local Portuguese. Both Loule and Faro are medium sized towns with a wide range of different shops.
